Nestorian's Henchmen: The Gunslinger

Another member of Nestorian's retinue is painted!

This one is not as interesting as the last one. But I still think it looks quite cool.
It's based on a regular Genestealer Cult Hybrid body, with Cadian boots. The arms are from the Dark Eldar Wracks kit, with guns from FW Chaos Renegade Militia auto-pistols. The head is a green-stuff copy of a FW Emperor's Children Kakophoni one. The metal pice covering the stump of his right arm is from a Mechanicum model. Enjoy!

Thanks for looking!

Nestorian's Henchmen: Close Combat Servitor

Nestorian's personal bodyguard servitor is ready to join the Genestealer Cult!

This is one of my favourite models for the Nestorian Infestation project.
I based the model on a Mechanicum torso, with two Empire Flagellants legs glued together to make the lower body. The head the Servo Skull from the Scion box. To make the model fit the Genestealer Cult theme, I also gave it the alien looking sword from the Genestealer Primus. The arms are from Dark Eldar Wracks.

Geneatealer Cult Giant Servitor

The giant walking baby-faced statue is completed!

The servitors head is a green stuff cast of a baby dolls face, and the legs are from a Chaos Defiler. I really enjoyed painting this model, since I could experiment a lot with glazes and washes on the metals to give the different plates a slight variation in colour.

I have not yet decided what this model is supposed to represent. But I'm picturing this thing wandering aimlessly through the ash-wastes, so I don't really think it needs another purpose than looking creepy. The pipes sticking out of the machines mouth is the host of a Genestealer spore-hive. The Cult uses this creation, and many like it, to spread spores and Tyranid bio-gasses into the planets atmosphere in preparation for the Tyranid invasion to come.

Former Ordo Xenos Inquisitor Nestorian

I've been back from the holiday for a couple of days. During this time I've managed to complete Nestorian and started to paint the members of his retinue.

The first game of the Nestorian Infestation project, that I'm working on with Bigbossredskullz, is quickly approaching. We are planning to have the first game, that will be the beginning of the story, in the end of August. I still have to paint a few more models for the project and finish the gaming board. I'm also planning to make a blog post containing all the characters that will take part in the story, both mine and the ones done by Bigbossredskullz, explaining their background and role in the story. I think the weeks before the game will be quite exciting.

First up is Nestorian, the main character of my Genestealer Cult:

Nestorian has served the holy Inquisition for decades, hunting down the tainted xenos and those who ally themselves with aliens.
But this was before he turned his back on the Imperium and joined the Genestealer Patriarch and his Cult. Nestorian believes that the Four Armed Emperer (the Genestealer Patriarch) is the true incarnation of the God Emperor. By joining the Four Armed Emperors Hive Mind, Nestorian believes that he will become a divine being, sharing his mind, body and soul with the true God Emperor.

WilhelMiniatures on Instagram!

I'm going to New York with my father for a week! This also means the blog will be silent for a little while. But before I go, I want to show you some pretty intereting WIP pictures of variuos projects:
(All of these pictures are from my Instagram account. Be sure to check it out HERE while you wait for my glorious return).

These first pictures show some areas of the gaming board I'm currently working on for the Nestorian Infestation project. There are also some sneak peeks of a couple of Techno-barbarians and mutants I'm working on.

It has been a while since I worked on my World Eaters, but I got some motivation when I got my hands on one of the limited Legion Praetors. I did a quick head and weapon swap, which improved the model a lot in my opinion. I'm trying out the Red Butchers colour scheme from some of the latest artworks from Forge World.

Remember to check out my Instagram and Facebook, where I sometimes post quick WIP pictures from my desktop.

Silver Tower Week day VII: WIP Heroes

Sadly I've shown you all of the finished miniatures from the box, but I have some interesting conversions of some of the Heroes to finish off the Silver Tower Week.

First I have a very easy conversion of the Stormcast Eternal. I gave the model a new sword, shield and head. Even though I actually like the Stormcast masks a lot, I think its more fitting with a bare head when you make a classic fantasy hero.

Second is my take on a Necromancer with two skeletons. I based the Necromancer on the skeleton king model, and gave him the original Necromancer staff and a head from Empire Flagellants.

I've also converted the Barbarian from the box. I wanted this one to have a base themed to the Silver Tower setting. So I gave the model a base consisting of a Tzeentch disc, crashing into a room of flying gears.

Silver Tower Week day VI: Gaunt Summoner and Familiars

Welcome to the sixth day of the Silver Tower Week. Today I want to show you my version of the Gaunt Summoner and some of his Familiars.

The Gaunt Summoner is one of the best models in the box. The only things that annoyed me about the original model was the huge bunny ears, and the flat flame coming out of the book. These items was easily removed, and now the model looks great.

The Familiars are also quite cool, but some of the sculpts look completely flat. The moon-faced character is probably the worst. I gave the model a new body to make it look more three-dimensional. Now it's basically a Nurgling with a moon-face.  I also gave the walking book a new pair of legs and an arm. The bird Familiar is still a WIP.
