Daemonette

A while ago, I converted a Deamonette with lobster-claw shoes (or actually feet). I just got around to paint it. I painted her a lot quicker than I had anticipated. Probably sine she's just flesh and metal. The biggest challenge I had on this model, was sticking her on the base. But after a while I managed to pin the tip of her toe/claw/thing. Since the only thing holding her into place is the tip of her feet, I gave her a flat and boring base, so it wouldn't take too much attention away from the feet.

It was a quite enjoyable project, and I'm really happy with the resolute. So there will probably be a couple more Daemonette conversions in the future.

  1. Amazing conversion!

Creepy and beautiful as befits a daemonette.

The paintjob looks a tad flat. I think you need some contrast... Perhaps some blue ink around the eyes to make them pop more.

    1. Thanks!

I think the model would look weird if I added more contrast to the skin. Daemonettes don't have the same muscle definition or sores and lumps as the models I usually do, which makes the skin look more flat.

I do however think you're right about the eyes. Some blue under her eyes could make her look more alive.

  2. Really nice, it is amazing how elegant ahe looks with the claws on her feet instead of her arms. Lovely paint job too

  3. Really nice conversion and paintjob. I can just imagine her tippytapping up behind you.
I was thinking about how the horns make her look almost wood elf-like, which of course is very fitting if Slaanesh 40k origin is taken into account.

  4. Really beautiful conversion and painting. You've managed to bring that daemonette miniature to life and if it's possible, make it look even more daemonic.
