I just started painting the robots. Using the hairspray weathering technique, I chipped away the black paint, showing the red underneath. The thought was to have the robots black, but really weathered. So I went with a strong contrast on the weathering, that also made them fit better into the rest of the army. Therefore I chose red, which is the main colour of the army. The red underneath can be the colour of the robots previous allegiance, or some weird form of rust or corrosion. I'm not yet sure what the red is supposed to be, but I like it so far!

I made a couple of Kastelan Robots for my Armies on Parade army. A quick head swap with FW's Thallax Cohort made them more evil looking, which fits my army a lot better. I'm looking forwards to painting these guys.

The Electro Priests are Painted! I'm quite happy with the way they turned out.
The leader is based on FW's Renegade Militia psyker, wile the rest are based on fantasy Flagellants. I'm pleased that they fit so well together at a unit, the psyker doesn't stand out too much. If you have any questions about the painting or converting, feel free to ask!

I just started painting the Space Marines for my Armies on Parade entry. The rest of the army are mostly dirty white, black and grey, so the Marines really stand out. The fact that they are based on Stormcast Eternals also makes them a lot bigger than the human sized models. Hope you like them so far!
The Electro Priests are almost finished, so I'll post them in a couple of days.

When GW released the Electro Priests, I thought they looked weird. The models are the same size as Space marines, which are too big for human beings. I therefor decided to convert my own take on the electro priests.
I've also done some more work on the SM tactical squad. The squad are now ready for paint!

This years Armies on Parade is in the end of next month, which gives me about two months to make an army and a display board. I've decided to go with an army consisting of Mechanicus, Space Marine and Inquisitor models. I want the Space Marine part of the army to be a small elite force standing out from the mechanicus troops. Therefore I have decided to use true scale SM. These will be the "Sigmarines" you have seen in earlier posts. I'm currently converting the 1st Tactical Squad. This is how it looks so far.
