Genestealer Cult Beast

The Genestealer Beast I've been working on for a while is finally finished! And I'm very happy with the final result.

What I like most about this model is that it is very different from the original Genestealer design, but you can still see that it is a Tyranid / Genestealer creature. I think It's more interesting if there are a lot more different Genestealer Hybrids than the ones GW have created.

I want this monstrosity to be a result of mixing Tyranid and human bio-enginering. I'm planning to explore this theme further, and make more weird looking hybrids for my Cult.

Thanks for looking!

    1. I havent sculpted much before, but creating the head wasn't actually so difficult. I just cut the front of a carnifex head and covered it with greenstuff.
I pressed a round silicon sculpting tool where I wanted the eye-socets to be. This also created the base for the nose.

  12. that is crazy cool. A great fusion of the typical tyranid monster look with a bit more dark gothic oddness to it. I love how it also mirrors the AdMech Dragoons a bit as well. And those veins!

    1. Thank you!
Maybe I should make another similar one but more mechanical, based on a Mechanicus dragoon.

  14. Awesome build, & very well painted! The human-esque face on the genestealer form is very disturbing. Reminds me a little of the newborn part-Ripley alien from Alien Resurrection.

    1. Cheers!
The monster from Alien Resurrection was actually an inspiration when I sculpted the face. I really like the creepy human-alien hybrid. It somehow looks even creepier when you can se that it's part human.
