Here's another two 4th generation hybrid for the Genestealer Cult. One converted to be wielding a huge pickaxe, and the other has his standard autogun. I don't think I'm going to build any more Cultists with autoguns, because I think they look ridiculously oversized.
These two guys complete the first squad in the cult. I'm really happy with these models, and I'm looking forward to enter them into the Fang this saturday.
Now I just need to finish the Genestealer Beast!
Wow that really turned out great! I think the blind one comes out even better now actually :)
ReplyDeleteThey look amazing together. Love the addition of the stock and strap to the 4th generation cultists autogun - makes it feel much more realistic.
ReplyDeleteGreat colors and the team looks great together. I noticed the Autogun-conversion as well. Very efective!
ReplyDeleteFantastic looking cultists! I certainly agree that the autoguns are needlessly big, to the point of stupidity. I really love the skeleton collapsible stock. Where did you get the stock, or was it a careful conversion on your part? Thanks, I am always on the lookout for parts to make more realistic weapons.
ReplyDeleteSorry for the late reply. I most have forgotten to post it.
DeleteThe stock is from a small box of model guns, I bought from a model-train/car/WWII stuff store. I cant remember the brand, but I guess you can find something similar in a classic model hobby store.
Awesome miniatures, really nicely painted. I like the naturalistic palette that you have used.

DeleteHi Wilhelm, Just wanted to say i'm a massive fan of your art style and conversion work. Hope you don't mind me using your cult painting scheme. I'm sure it won't look half as good as yours anyway!
ReplyDeletecheers,
A
Thanks a lot!
DeleteOf course you can use the colour scheme for your Genestealers. I would love to see some cultists in similar colours!
Thanks i'll try and do it justice! looking forward to seeing more Outgard work from you guys.

ReplyDeleteHey just seen these guys in white dwarf! You're officially famous 😉
ReplyDeleteI have been collecting genestealer cults since they came out and was really happy with the scheme i had chosen, anyway i have been playing and painting them for a while and then today i find someone by pure chance who has used the same scheme as me, and much better may i add, and now im worried that someone in my hobby group who has said "thats a cool original scheme" and me replied "Oh thanks i came up with it myself" might see a professional painter who has done a group of GSC with the same scheme.
ReplyDeleteregardless great work
What colors are you using especially for the tan? I actually painted mine similar but the colors don't go together quite as well.
ReplyDeleteIt’s all just washes over a corax white primer. The off white is just a wash of sepia shade, and the orange is several thin layers of GW orange shade.
DeleteHow did you make the bases?
