I finished the Armies on Parade project just in time. I painted up a lot of models for this project that I haven't shared on this blog yet. I have pictures from my light-box of all of them, but haven't had the time to go through them yet. I'll spread them out in a couple of posts during this week.
The competition went well, and I got 2nd place!
Here are the pictures of my finished display from saturday.
frikking amazing. Makes me think of Bosche and Blanche. Love it.

ReplyDeleteThere is a point at which the awesomeness becomes overwhelming.
ReplyDeleteThere is so much... wow! here... really wish I could see this in person as your board, models, and story are amazing. You took the creep factor to 11 and it is awesome!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely incredible! I'm loving this to bits.
ReplyDeleteAll those faces everywhere... just outstanding work. :D
My God! That is an amazing piece. Just packed full of character. How did you not come first?? It is bloody great!
ReplyDeleteJaw-drop!
ReplyDeleteHow did that display not help you win!
ReplyDeleteI think its a lovely army from the pictures I have seen. Maybe it was a little too out there for the voting public.
Out of interest what army won?
Seriously disturbing and still absolutely brilliant work!
ReplyDeleteThe models individually are intricate and characterful unto themselves and the larger installment is really inspiring. Fantastic stuff! You been hanging around those sickos on the Inq28 boards too long :). I'm going to get ugly looks at the craft store when I raid the dolly section.

ReplyDeleteIt's an incredible mess of surrealist and Chaos and Junji Ito, it's all so amazing and disgusting! The faces peering from the dirt make the display board as much a character as any of the figures themselves.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the kind words guys!
ReplyDeleteSome of you asked who got 1st place on this competition. She will be a guest blogger here and show you her entry!
Absolutely love the mechanical spider demons! My players are going to meet some of them, for sure.
