Armies on Parade 2016 part V: Parade Day

I finished the Armies on Parade project just in time. I painted up a lot of models for this project that I haven't shared on this blog yet. I have pictures from my light-box of all of them, but haven't had the time to go through them yet. I'll spread them out in a couple of posts during this week.

The competition went well, and I got 2nd place!
Here are the pictures of my finished display from saturday.

  10. How did that display not help you win!

I think its a lovely army from the pictures I have seen. Maybe it was a little too out there for the voting public.

Out of interest what army won?

  12. The models individually are intricate and characterful unto themselves and the larger installment is really inspiring. Fantastic stuff! You been hanging around those sickos on the Inq28 boards too long :). I'm going to get ugly looks at the craft store when I raid the dolly section.

  15. It's an incredible mess of surrealist and Chaos and Junji Ito, it's all so amazing and disgusting! The faces peering from the dirt make the display board as much a character as any of the figures themselves.
