Another member of Nestorian's retinue is painted!
This one is not as interesting as the last one. But I still think it looks quite cool.
It's based on a regular Genestealer Cult Hybrid body, with Cadian boots. The arms are from the Dark Eldar Wracks kit, with guns from FW Chaos Renegade Militia auto-pistols. The head is a green-stuff copy of a FW Emperor's Children Kakophoni one. The metal pice covering the stump of his right arm is from a Mechanicum model. Enjoy!
Thanks for looking!
I simply cannot get over how imaginative and inspired all of these figures are! They are each so far removed from the base models, to the point they are hardly even recognizable. Truly a fantastic look into some rather unexplored territory. The gunslinger is pretty rad. The pose, paint job, and conversion combine to create a really gritty, tattered character. Perfect. The dual autopistols are excellent, really pushing emphasizing how odd the cultists look with the additional limbs.
ReplyDeleteCheers! It means a lot to get a such inspiring comment!
DeleteI love your skintones & pale palette. Wish you'd do a painting tutorial.
ReplyDeleteI'll try to take more WIP pictures the when I paint the next member of the retinue. I has been a while since I did a tutorial, so I should definitely make one soon!
DeleteNice! The skintone is spot on!
ReplyDeleteThe group also works really well toghether. Good show, sir!
Thank you!
DeleteThey work well together, and really stand out from the regular Cultists with orange clothing. This make them more interesting when you see the whole Genestealer Cult together.
I think you're selling this one short as he's one of my fav henchmen in your retinue.
ReplyDeleteCheers!
DeleteI'm really looking forward to the first game.
Wua!
ReplyDelete:)
DeleteI would love to feature these one day ...Stirling work sir ...
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteIt would be an honour to be featured in one of your articles. The Blanchitsu pages have always been my favourite ones in the magazines. Having my models featured in one would be amazing!
