Tor Megiddo, part VI

Another member of my Techno-Barbarian gang is complete! This guy is based on a FW Tech Thrall with a FW Khorne Berzerker faceplate. The arms and axe are from Khorne Bloodreavers, and the feathered crest is from an old Empire Knight.

A lot of people have asked me how I painted the bases. I'll take some step by step pictures when I paint the next base and will make a quick tutorial soon.

Tor Megiddo, part V

Another pair of miniatures for my Tor Megiddo Tech-Barbarian gang is finished.

The man is based on a Tzeentch Acolyte with Electro Priest arms and crest. The bionic leg is the arm of a Tech-Priest Dominus with the foot of a Skitarii Ranger. The helmet is an old Empire Knight, and the megaphone is from Balistaris Cawl. I made the skirt from thin wire.

Beside him is a floating mine. This is a very simple conversion. I just swapped the skull on a servo-skull with a mine from the new Space Dwarves.

Tor Megiddo, part IV

I'm finally finished with some miniatures for my Tor Megiddo warband. The game is in under a month, and I have several more characters to paint before then.

This guy was based on a finecast servitor. GW's servitors have huge feet, so I swapped them with a pair of Cadian boots. The arms and shotgun are from the Genstealer Cult hybrids. I cut the barrel shorter and added a human jaw from the new skull box as a decoration. The head is from the old Men at Arms box, and the helmet is one of the flying bomb things from the steam punk dwarves.

The Cherub is based on the one from the Space Marine Devestators. I swapped the head for a servo skull and the legs for cables. It's holding a halo from an electro priest. It's supposed to be some kind of close combat weapon that can be used by a nearby character.

Armies on Parade 2017, part I

I just found out that GW Oslo will arrange two Armies on Parade competitions this year! One for Age of Sigmar and one for 40k. Which means I can make two entries! I haven't started on any of the display boards yet, so it's going to be quite a challenge to finish both.

The plan is to enter my Tzeentch army in AoS. This army will mostly be the miniatures I painted last year for Silver Tower.

The 40k army will be my Nurgle horde, based on the old Pestigor warband, the Poxwalkers, some new bigger monsters and maybe Mortarion and a few Plague Marines.
The first new monster it a mutant Giant. GWs new giant set consists of two giants. So me and a couple of friend decided to have a little competition, a giant-off. When all the giants are finished, I'll write a post about them here.
